J. R. Spencer
J. R. Spencer is a noted concert classical and jazz pianist, vocalist, music coach and artist developer and published musicologist.
Currently residing in Southern California, he is the founder of Spencer Music and Artist Development currently coaching students of all ages and levels privately in: piano, digital keyboards, harpsichord, kindermusik, voice, vocal pathology, acting, strings, music theory/composition,s songwriting and music therapy.
As a sought after music industry artist developer, many of his artists are featured recording artists and songwriters, in local and international musicals/operas, and on television and film.
J. R. received both a Master and Bachelor of Music in keyboard collaborative arts with joint emphasis in piano and vocal performance from California State University, Fullerton graduating with the keyboard areas' highest honors. He holds an Associate of Arts degree from Orange Coast College, located in Costa Mesa California.
After college J. R. was on faculty at Coastline Community College for 13 years. He is the owner of Spencer Music and Artist Development currently located in Belmont Shore, CA.
Mr. Spencer has performed as a jazz pianist vocalist at resorts, 5 star restaurants and cruise lines throughout the US. Canada and Caribbean. Credits include: Disneyland Resort, Westin Bonaventure, Cinegrill, Ritz Carlton (Laguna Niguel) and The Balboa Bay Club (Newport Beach).
